A screened pool takes in far less leaf debris, but screens do not stop pollen or fine dust, and they slow evaporation and airflow. Enclosed pools are cleaner to look at while still needing the same weekly chemistry.

Canal-side organic load

Miramar homes near canals and lakes take on more organic matter, which raises phosphates and gives algae a foothold. It is the most common cause of a pool that greens up despite regular chlorine.
